Wing Sprouts

This sculpture is inspired by the children (the sprouts!) who attend the nearby community center. Decommissioned airplane wings that look like birds take off from the crest of a wave bent from three 15' tall steel pipes.

Commissioned by the City of Atlanta Department of Aviation, Wing Sprouts stands in the median of Clipper Drive (south of the intersection of Godby Road) in College Park, Georgia.
