Sometimes, Christopher builds a sculpture multiple times in order to figure out spacial relationships. That was the case with Sky Boat, which was built three times to figure out the correct angle for the poles and how to shape the metal gunwale. At thirty-two feet long and twenty feet tall, this large sculpture was one of Chris' most insubstantial, like a sketch in the sky.
