Inspired by Davis activist who chipped in to save the arboretum in the sixties, Christopher asked for 440 shovels from the community and welded them together into an arch that stands over the north entrance to downtown Davis. A vortex of shovels organized like fish schooling represent the beauty of a harmonious society.
