Overton Shell Park is about the community playing and experiencing music. Guitars are iconic, inspiring every performer and patron of this historic stage where both Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley played their first public concerts. Christopher used recycled truck frames as a nod to Memphis' connection to transportation. The sculpture appears as a continuation of the tree line that surrounds the open area in front of the shell.
